1. Can you tell us a bit about yourself and what inspired the creation of Gas24/7ng?

My name is Maria Ugorji. With over a decade in the digital solutions space across Nigeria and Ghana, I’ve dedicated my career to bridging gaps through technology.

I got Inspired to create a tech lead solution in the Cooking Gas space as a result of my personal experience. Being a working mum, I constantly juggled my role as the Senior Digital Solutions Manager in one of Nigeria’s largest conglomerates, while managing the home front. As a busy mum, there was one call I always dreaded but expected “Mummy, the gas has finished.”

That frustration became my catalyst. I saw a clear need—busy professionals like me, juggling hustle and home, deserved a seamless way to keep their kitchens running. So I built Gas24/7ng a platform where you refill cooking gas with a single click, eliminating interruptions to your day.

But this isn’t just about convenience. It’s also about purpose. Through Gas24/7ng, we’re advancing clean cooking initiatives and empowering communities to shrink their carbon footprints—one hassle-free refill at a time.

2. What makes it different from traditional gas supply methods?

With our platform there is always someone available to take your gas refill request and we always aim to deliver in less than 60mins.

3. What challenges have you faced in revolutionizing the cooking gas supply chain, and how have you overcome them?

Getting people to try our service … But once they try the service, they never look back.

4. Gas distribution often has environmental concerns, how is Gas24/7ng ensuring a sustainable and eco- friendly supply chain?

We ensure a sustainable and eco-friendly supply chain by solid collaboration and ensuring we are employing the right set of people to work with, in driving our vision.

5. What steps are you taking to make cooking gas more accessible and affordable for underserved communities?

One major step is strong collaboration with the Eco-Circulate team to find and implement solutions that are relevant and impactful. Working together, we are driving accessibility of clean cooking energy for underserved communities.

6. Do you have partnerships with renewable energy or circular economy initiatives to reduce reliance on fossil fuels in the long run?

We are collaborating strongly with Eco-Circulate as our shared values and goal align perfectly with a focus on Zero Carbon Lagos.

8. Are you exploring any innovations, such as bio-LPG or alternative sustainable energy sources, as part of your long-term vision?

Yes, we are. We are also open to great partnerships in the space of alternative sustainable energy sources.

9. What are Gas24/7ng’s expansion plans across Africa, and how do you plan to scale your impact?

Permit me to say we are a young start-up. Already an expansion conversation has started.

We are very open to governments, investors, and individuals supporting our mission to revolutionize gas supply in Africa by inviting to the stakeholder table.
